Not Paint

OK, I know I’m a bit slow at times, but when we last saw the walls inside the house, they were white – so I assumed they’d painted.

N-o-p-e!

The speckles dried!

Dried speckles get white; therefore my mistake. Here’s what they look like now (the speckles.)

Aren’t they cute?

Big changes happening fast! We got cabinets! Woohoo!!!

Alder Cabinets

These cabinets have knots, too! not the rope tie kind, but the wood kind of knots.

The awsomest thing about this kitchen layout besides the wide isles, is that across from the dishwasher (not installed yet) are the drawers in the island. The drawers will hold the dishes and silverware. You don’t even have to move your feet to unload the dishwasher into the drawers!!! (We learned about this from the remodel of our old house!)

…and this is the color of our new laminate floor. The color has turned out better than we even remembered! (When you have to make so many choices about things, you begin to forget how you “so precisely” put together the colors. We are really happy with the color and lightness of the floors!!! YAY!

Besides installing cabinets, they were installing the master bedroom door as we came in. These are the other doors to be installed today for the bedrooms, the bathroom and linen closet.

Surprise! Surprise!

Surprise! Surprise!

Moving is an adventure. In many more ways than one! Part of the FUN (?) is discovering intriguing storage places for, of course, very important items. Willy and I were musing about why the file cabinet was lying on its back on top of one that was erect. Didn’t think much till we found HANGERS stuffed into both drawers of the FILE CABINET! We cracked up!!! Musta been desperation packing!!! LOL!!!
